Campgrounds to the South
Hobson Beach
If you're traveling south on the 101, past Carpinteria, you will come to the stretch of highway that goes right alongside the ocean. Along this stretch there are a handful of campgrounds nestled between the highway and the ocean. Hobson Beach campground is the first one you will come across. It's about 25 minutes south of Santa Barbara, and has one of the best views of the Channel Islands. Campgrounds are all first-come, first-served and cost $34/day for up to 6 people. Directions: Get on the 101 south. Take exit 78 for CA 1 / Pacific Coast Hwy. Turn right onto CA 1 / Pacific Coast hwy. The entrance for the campground will be the first turn your right. Watch for it because It comes up fast!

The next campground you will pass after Hobsons going south is Faria Beach Park. It is a little bigger than Hobsons, but similar in that it is also first-come, first-served, and camping is right along the rocks above the beach. Sites cost $32-$34/day and hold up to 6 people. Faria Beach Park
