Santa Claus Lane - soft white sand
Santa Claus Lane is located in the charming town of Carpinteria, just south of Santa Barbara. The beach is quiet and clean, but it gets pretty busy on the weekends. It's a great spot for relaxing, paddle boarding, boogie boarding, and surfing (rentals offered). If you get hungry, there are a lot of great restaurants, like Padero Beach Grill, near the end of the beach.
Driving is the easiest way to get there. Get on the 101 south and take exit 88 for Santa Claus Lane. Parking is free and along the railroad tracks. The beach is right on the other side of the tracks.
Take Bus 20 or 21x and get off at the Via Real and East Padero stop. Walk toward the ocean along Padero Lane. Turn left onto Santa Claus Lane. The beach will be on your right.
